There have been lots of great things =happening at Hazelwood Integrated Primary and Nursery School. New plasme screens, new playgrounds and so much more. Read on to discover it all.
Hazelwood has always strived to ensure that we create the very best learning opportunities for all our pupils, and with the backing and support of our Governors, we have been able to make some significant investments in learning this year.
Costing is excess of £50,000 each class now has the very latest plasma screen technology. Together with a recent refresh in IPads and teacher professional development, we are proud that Hazelwood has the very best resources to support and develop digital learning for our pupils.
We have spent £45,000 on a unique outdoor creative learning space. This has carefully been designed by our teachers and play professionals to provide our pupils from KS1 with a fantastic multi-sensory play area.
All our pupils from P2/P3 now have a re-designed fully resourced playground, including a performance area!
Our outdoor fire pit and Forest School programme has been a huge success and has attracted the attention of many admirers including the Minister of Education, Michelle McIlveen who has asked to visit the school to see this outdoor learning experience on 14th October.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for Hazelwood to showcase to the Minister what a wonderful school Hazelwood is. I think you will agree that Hazelwood puts pupils and their learning at the very heart of all that we do.
